While using a new device or making a large purchase at a participating merchant site using your Visa® card, the Visa® Secure service may launch. After you enter your Visa® card number and submit your order, a Visa® Secure window will appear where you’ll be asked questions verifying your identity. However, if you don’t get prompted with an additional check, this likely means the security check is happening in the background. You may see a symbol on your screen as this is happening.
For merchants that do not participate in Visa® Secure, transactions will process as normal.
