Enhanced Security
People's Community Federal Credit Union takes seriously our obligation to protect members' financial information. In keeping with our commitment to security and recent regulatory requirements, we now have additional security — called
multi-level identity authentication — when logging in to CU@Home, free Bill Pay and eStatements.
Do I need to enroll?
No. The process is automatic. If you haven't already done this, the next time you log in to CU@Home, free Bill Pay or eStatements you will be asked to provide information that can be used at future log-ins to ensure your identity.
What information will be required?
For CU@Home and free Bill Pay, first you select an image and phrase combination. Then you register your computer with us. Finally, you select three challenge questions — and provide your personal answers. For eStatements you only select and answer challenge questions. That's it. In just a few minutes you'll have a much higher degree of security.
How does PCFCU use the information?
We use the information as follows:
- Image and phrase: Our display to you of your secure image and phrase ensures you are truly at the official People's Community Credit Union CU@Home or free Bill Pay Web sites.
- Registered computer: By recognizing your computer, People's Community Credit Union's CU@Home and free Bill Pay Web sites are assured that the upcoming transactions are from the registered location.
- Challenge questions: For CU@Home and free Bill Pay, these questions are used to confirm your identity when you use a computer that is not registered. For eStatements these are your primary means of providing additional security.
What is the new log-in process ?
When you go to the CU@Home or free Bill Pay Web sites, you enter your user name, then click the log-in button. On the next page, an image and phrase will be displayed. If these are ones you selected, you can safely enter your password.
If you do not recognize them, this is not the People's Community Credit Union site and you should not enter your Password. For eStatements, the process is similar — you'll be asked to provide your answer to one of the challenge questions.
For CU@Home and free Bill Pay, can I register more than one computer?
Yes. Behind the scenes, we verify that you are logging in from a registered computer. If you log in using an unregistered computer, you'll have the option of registering that computer or providing the correct response to a challenge question. You also can un-register computers you no longer wish to use for online activities. Once a computer is enrolled, there is little difference in the log-in process.
