AlertMe Consumer Identity Theft Monitor is a credit monitoring tool designed to provide you with early warning of potentially unauthorized credit activity. Daily, the service monitors your credit bureau files for new accounts, address changes or reported delinquencies. E-mail notification lets you take quick corrective action.

AlertMe also offers optional online access to credit reports, a yearly reminder to order your free credit report and identity theft insurance (not available to members in New York and Texas).

AlertMe includes free e-mail support and phone line (Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., eastern time).

AlertMe is available for only $45.00 a year. You also can choose to pay quarterly ($12.00) or monthly ($4.25). Your payment is automatically debited from your People's Community account on the basis you select.
